REVIEWS
Destrother
79/100A fairly good sequelContinue on AniListA good sequel and I enjoyed most of it but some of the fight scenes were dull. Also, I don't rate my reviews based on enjoyment because am writing it for other people to know if they want to watch it so the score I give on a review will differ from my list.
No Spoilers
Plot 8/10 I genuinely think that Fire Force's plot is pretty good and unique and since I didn't make a review of the first season, I'll quickly go over the plot. Basically, people around Tokyo combust and turn into Infernal's which is where the Fire Force come in, they put them to rest by fighting them... with fire, so they fight fire with fire. Then of course there's the main bad guys which I won't get into because that's spoilers. One thing that was terrible about the second season was that they underpowered Shinra he either he would lose in a fight or the bad guy will leave. Also, the fan service is annoying.
Animation 8/10
The animation is pretty good and most fight scenes are usually badass because of the animation but still somehow dull. Since literally half the time in the anime there's fire they had to draw it really well and I think they really did the job well.
Characters 7.5/10 The characters in the second season definitely had more depth to them because that what season two really mainly focused about but only Arthur had a proper backstory. But throughout the anime the only person with notable character development is Isis but I can't really say how because spoilers. Also in the second season Shinra is way more underpowered and like I said before he barely won any fights. Then of course we have Tamaki who just stands by cries and strips from time to time. She only had one badass scene all the way in the end.
Overall 7.9/10 A pretty good sequel that any Fire Force fan would like or any person who enjoyed Fire Force since it's almost just like the first season but slightly watered down. The animation is great for all the badass fights and so is the music and the characters are all pretty important (other than Tamaki) to keep progressing the story.

85/100Action, Fan Service, Good StoryContinue on AniListWhat is it about?
Fire Force Season 2 picks up with high energy and intense action right from the beginning. It continues the story of Company 8 and their mission to uncover the truth behind spontaneous human combustion, the Evangelist and the mysterious Adolla Burst. This season introduces two new Adolla Burst users - Inca, a chaos-seeking girl with the ability to predict fire paths and Nataku, a child struggling under the pressure of expectations.Company 8 also travels to the Chinese Peninsula, where they discover a tower similar to Amaterasu, powered by a black-veiled woman - hinting that their own Amaterasu might be fueled by a living being. These events add mystery, tension, and raise deep moral questions. The season builds towards the unification of multiple Fire Force companies in the fight against the Evangelist’s forces, while also exploring belief, confusion and what it truly means to choose the right path.
What I liked and How I felt?
I really enjoyed this season. The action scenes were stunning, with great animation and incredible sound design that made every fight exciting. It’s one of those anime where the sound effects really elevate the visual experience.I was also invested in some of the emotional themes. Nataku's episodes were a reflection of some humans that made me think - how people react when we can’t meet their expectations. His panic and helplessness felt very human. This also makes us think that how dangerous a mindset can be if it doesn't find its own voice.
On the other hand, Inca was disturbing in a very intentional way. Her love for chaos made me dislike her but also reminded me how dangerous people can be when they only care about their own thrill and not the consequences. Inca’s chaos isn't just about thrill-seeking, she represents the kind of freedom that ignores morality - the opposite of Shinra’s controlled, purposeful drive and freedom.
The visit to the Chinese land and the discovery about the woman in the Amaterasu-like tower was fascinating. It raised the tension and made the story even more mysterious. Also, the growth of certain characters and the way they unlocked their potential was inspiring. It reminded me how satisfying it is to witness development - both in fiction and in real life.
What I didn’t like?
One major issue I had was the fanservice. In a few episodes - especially one where a third of the episode was pure fanservice - it felt out of place and unnecessary. It interrupted the emotional flow and broke the tension. While a little humor is fine, these scenes felt forced and excessive, much like in Season 1. Because of that, I’m lowering my overall rating for the season.Final words
Fire Force Season 2 was a fantastic blend of action, emotion, mystery and philosophical depth. The story progressed well, the themes were meaningful and the world-building expanded in intriguing ways. Despite some flaws, it kept me engaged and curious for what comes next. I’m excited to continue watching the next season and see how these threads unfold. Fire Force is like a metaphor to remember that fire can destroy and protect like a belief. It consumes what is false and lights up what is real.
