65/100El dinero y el amor no encajan. // Money and love don't mix.
--- ___A love story born from a childhood promise, kept pure and innocent just like its protagonists.___
__Inkya de Otaku de Binbou Dakedo Bijin Ojou-sama ni Osaretemasu__ tells the story of Eiji, a shy young man, a literature-loving otaku with a kind heart who is always guided by one feeling: compassion for others. He lives in deep poverty with his father, a failed writer still chasing his dream. His late mother taught him the importance of love over money. And, above all, that every act of charity I choose to do is not driven by self-interest, but comes from the heart, with no expectation of reward. Eiji admires his classmate Aoi, a wealthy girl and daughter of a powerful corporate mogul. Despite his admiration, Eiji never dares to approach her due to the enormous gap between their worlds—until one day, upon returning home, he finds Aoi waiting for him with words he never expected to hear: Aoi was his fiancée. This premise sets the stage for a tender and pure love story filled with uncertainty, fear, sweet moments, and traps set by envious people. Like his classmates, who can't stand seeing others happy—especially when it's someone they deem unworthy of being with the class's star girl—something that, in truth, happens more often than people realize.
Although the story is short, it carries a message that kindness and goodness can lead to great things. It may sound cheesy or unrealistic, but being kind without expecting anything in return can indeed lead to good outcomes. This aligns perfectly with the message the author seems to convey. I’m not sure if the story was sadly cancelled or if it concluded as planned in its 16 chapters, but it certainly managed to deliver a lot and kept me engaged from start to finish. The art style is typical of shojo/romance manga: simple character designs with occasional well-defined panels to heighten emotional impact, though generally not highly detailed. The author emphasizes themes of love and kindness, reinforcing that money is not everything. Her latest work, __Ijiwaru na Haha to Ane ni Urareta Watashi. Naze ka Wakagashira ni Dekiaisaretemasu__, shares a similar theme. The protagonist is abandoned by her family and ends up living a Cinderella-like life, falling into a sweet romance with the young leader of the Yakuza who takes her in.
