  Quite a boring anime to watch unless you really like medicine

  After completing this anime, the only thing that came to my mind was, "so... what exactly is the plot of this story?"

  The story follows the protagonist, Elise de Clorance, who was killed in her original life. She was reincarnated into modern Japan and was determined to help people as repentance to her previous life deeds. This led to her becoming a renowned surgeon in the world of medicine. However, a fatal accident caused her to lose her life and she was reincarnated back into her original body as Elise de Clorance. After having turned over a new leaf in her second life, Elise was determined to walk down the path of medicine again.

  The entire story thereafter talks about Elise wanting to pursue medicine as a career instead of being married to the crown prince as she originally wanted. This, of course, led to many confusions to the sudden change of heart as Elise was known to be a selfish and spoiled lady (which was also what led to her demise in her first timeline). While it is heartening to see Elise learned from her past mistakes and had development in her character very early on in the show, it was also kind of a mistake to do so in my opinion.

  The story lack any promising plot that drives it. What we know, so far, is that Elise's decision to not marry the crown prince and to pursue a career in medicine had change her future. But that is it. There is no further indication of why Elise was brought back to her original body after having led a second life.

  There are definitely some things going on that could potentially affect the kingdom. I mean, let's be realistic here. But because the main protagonist of the story is Elise and not the crown prince lacks that special ingredient and opportunity to see how Elise could use her medical knowledge to good use which could possibly lead to the salvation of the kingdom.

  However, the series seems to focus solely on what had changed after Elise decided to pursue another path in her life and basically follows her day to day life in the hospital. You could call this a slice-of-life anime because that is really what the whole show is about: Elise pursuing her life as a doctor.

  Anime for medicine fans, awkward plot pacing, visuals inconsistent visual/colors

  Let me be honest this anime is purely for people who really like medicine

  Read Kurohime242's review first if you're going to read mine. I only describe the anime's colors and animation, especially if you're someone who really values visual fidelity.
  This review is based on watching only 5 episodes of the anime. To be honest, it feels like the main character is just solving disease problems without anything major happening to truly grab the viewer's attention or make it enjoyable

  Let's talk about visual fidelity. There was some great visual fidelity starting from Episode 1 until Episode 2. However, the dips in visual colors are noticeable, especially in rooms with windows where there should be a hint of warm tones. But no, it's not present – not even a tiny bit of warm tones.

  The outside colors were decent at best; they showed how bright and clean the sun is. Yet, the quality starts to dip when they were walking the outside covered garden walkway. Light should realistically be bouncing everywhere and giving it a warm tone, but it suddenly becomes really gray until Episode 3, where the colors actually start to show their true potential.

  In this particular scene in Episode 3, there should have been warm tones, but suddenly there weren't any. Even with the amount of windows present, there was no tone, only a neutral balance of colors. This ruins the mood, especially considering the scene originally started as a gloomy place. Changing from gloomy to hopeful would have had a bigger impact on the viewer, showcasing that Elise really cares for patients after doing an intense deep clean of the room. It really is important to showcase change to viewers.

  Still, colors have an impact on people's perception. If something changes from gloomy to bright and sunny, you get the sense that everything could be better, that everything will be okay. But it's lacking in this anime. The animation quality dips from time to time in the series, but I doubt the budget they had was big enough for the ambition the author had. This series is particularly worth watching for doctors or nurses interested in a realistic portrayal of medical practices and patient care in an anime setting.
  Would I give the anime a chance if the colors and fidelity was amazing? No, it's pretty boring considering the plot isn't as engaging
