DESCRIPTION
Oozora Reiji isn't a lazy boy, he's just terribly unmotivated; all the clubs and activities he's joined don't interest him for long. That is, of course, until his best friend Yukino takes him to a underground arcade where an unbelievable virtual reality game is played - Dragon Drive - in which players fight each other with virtual dragons. Reiji ends up throwing all he's got into training a dragon so rare that the Dragon Drive staff are baffled. But soon Reiji learns that Dragon Drive isn't all it seems, and he might be the only one who can save an entire world from evil.

65/100Dragon Drive is a full-dive pokemonlike gameContinue on AniListReiji the MC is unmotivated for most things in his life and routinely gives up on everything that is introduced to him because he has no passion or drive for it he is also pretty lazy he is essentially to put in the shows own words, is the king of tardiness and is always late to School in the show, is introduced to the game, dragon drive by his childhood friend Maiko Yukino, since he never has any passion for anything and suddenly is introduced to this full-dive game set in an underground facility in some random ladies house, through some anime magic and main character syndrome, Reiji gets a dragon that appears weak and very lazy, but turns out after some fights Chibi is actually insanely overpowered and is a super rare type of dragon and thus he finds a new passion for dragon-drive and it becomes a long term game for him and his friend, and basically everyone already knows about the game dragon drive so their is no like oh my god what s that!? Everyone who is part of the story basically already knows about the game except for Reiji until his friend introduced him to it,
This is an okay show overall, the CGI is kind of 2002 and what you would expect, the budget isn't the highest, the story is easy to follow, its basically isekai, almost all the characters are some sort of over done stereotype as always with these kind of kids shows, the only reason worth watching this is for chibi to be honest, this never got a season 2 so don't expect any continuation since this wasn't as popular as shows like Pokemon and Digimon, the music isn't complicated or anything too special, it really hasn't held up over the years and the animation quality isn't great, you have the main character who gets a special dragon, aka from the random dragon selector from the full-dive game Dragon Drive, you have the love interest which is almost the main focus of the entire show since she is the main characters child hood friend or whatever, you have the stereotypical bully, the stereotypical rich blonde guy, the milf you will know if you watch it, its pretty obvious this show leans hard on easy to follow characters due to how stereotypical they are for this type of show, even their attitudes reflect their own stereotypes and its kind of annoying to be honest, especially the bully character who is obsessed with the the childhood friend of the MC, some point later in the story however things take a turn for the worse for Reiji and his friends when they get sucked into another world and have to solve its conflicts, where they have to journey on a big quest in order to save both worlds from being destroyed using Chibis powers along with his friends dragons which become real in this other world they are in and its no longer a virtual full-dive game, Reiji soon learns that him and his rare dragon are the only ones capable of saving both worlds from destruction, Reiji's moves and actions are completely in sync with chibi and soon after traveling to the new world through teleportation he and chibi start training with his friends in order to save both worlds from complete destruction, when they get transported to this other world, its as if their entire presence gets deleted from the real world and everyone pretends or not realizes it and only people he was close seems to "remember" even the whole game area where they trained has been completely removed by the organizers of the game due to the special circumstances of the main characters being Isekaid to this other world so they try and erase traces of them in the real world from the game.
