  Legend of Lemnear is a fantasy anime OVA released in the summer of 1989, running just under 50 minutes. It follows the journey of Lemnear, a lone warrior known as the Champion of Silver, who sets out on a revenge quest against the dark forces that destroyed her homeland and killed her family. The story is built on familiar tropes. Revenge, prophecy, hidden power. It's a tight, self-contained tale that does what it needs to do without overstaying its welcome.

  Visually, Legend of Lemnear is a product of its time in the best way. The character designs are classic late-'80s anime—think Fist of the North Star or Wizards meets Heavy Metal magazine. There's a heavy emphasis on dramatic shading, flowing hair, and exaggerated anatomy, especially when it comes to Lemnear herself. While the designs aren't groundbreaking, the actual animation quality stands out.
