Weekly Bunshun also reported Fuji TV staff was involved with the incident, although the magazine later said the woman was not initially invited to the gathering by a Fuji TV official as it had reported in December. In the aftermath, Fuji TV president Koichi Minato and Fuji Media Holdings Inc. chairman Shuji Kano resigned their positions.After news of the scandal broke, many companies have since pulled their ads from airing on Fuji TV, or have asked the channel to suspend their sponsored programs. The long-running family anime Sazae-san had an 11-week drought of sponsors that only ended in early April, while the family anime stalwart Chibi Maruko-chan is still running without sponsors.
