Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2's Teaser Unveils New Cast & Staff, October Debut
The official website for the television anime of Ren Eguchi and illustrator Masa's Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hōrō Meshi) light novel series posted a teaser promotional video and teaser visual for the anime's second season on Saturday. The teaser announces the new season's new cast and staff members plus its October premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliated channels.Ayumu Murase voices Dra-chan, the pixie dragon who joins Mukōda's party after being drawn in by the scent of his cooking. Most of the staff is returning for the new season, but Tsuyoshi Kuwahara (Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather) joins Nao Ōtsu on character designs. Shiho Tanaka and Eriko Itō replace Nao Ōtsu and Sara Sakoe as chief animation directors. Episode director Kenji Takahashi (Spy×Family, 2025's The Rose of Versailles) is now the assistant director. Tomoki Nagino takes over the art direction from Hisako Akagi, who is now credited for art supervision. Kana Tanabe replaces Chikako Kamata as the color key artist. The company BAX is credited for cuisine supervision. Kodai Kato is promoted from production desk to animation producer. MAPPA remains the animation production studio. Eguchi started publishing the novels on the "Shosetsuka ni Narō" website in 2016, and Overlap is publishing the novels in print.
