Wit Studio, Contrail, Production I.G to Animate Jump+ 1-Shot Manga

Shueisha announced on Sunday that Wit Studio, Contrail, and Production I.G will each animate a different one-shot manga from the Shonen Jump+ platform to celebrate the platform's 10th anniversary. Anime studio JOEN leads the project from planning to production. The Shonen Jump+ platform and its 10th anniversary website will announce which one-shot manga will receive the anime adaptation at a later date.Shueisha launched Shonen Jump+, a new digital publication that offered over 30 manga every month for free, in late 2014. Sony media subsidiary Aniplex, its CloverWorks animation studio, Production I.G sister company Wit Studio, and publisher Shueisha jointly established JOEN in May 2022. The company aims to route the production to "the best production lines and creators" for both CloverWorks and Wit Studio, instead of only routing the process through a single company.Anime director Sunao Katabuchi (Black Lagoon, In This Corner of the World) established the studio Contrail on September 2, 2019.Wit Studio animated the animated teaser promotional video for Holoearth, a game project within Cover Corporation's hololive Alternative metaverse project.
