Webtoon Service Ends Daily Pass Feature
WEBTOON has recently quietly discontinued its popular Daily Pass feature. Readers recently noticed that episodes (chapters) previously available through Daily Pass now require coins or sometimes viewing ads to unlock. Episodes from series that were previously available through Daily Pass now cost three coins each.Introduced in 2020, the Daily Pass feature allowed users to unlock one episode per day from completed series, with access lasting 14 days. The feature expanded to some ongoing titles in 2022. The feature was widely used to sample series without spending coins.Ad Passes remain available for some series, but episodes unlocked that way expire after three days.
