Pinkfong Company Launches Moon Shark Webtoon in English

Pinkfong Company, known globally for the Baby Shark phenomenon, has officially launched Moon Shark: From Underwater Princess to Celebrity in North America. The spin-off webtoon series is now available on five major digital platforms in the U.S., including Manta, Lezhin Comics US, HYPERCOMIC, Dashtoon, and Lalatoon.Moon Shark follows Sid, a shark princess from an underwater kingdom who dreams of life on land—and harbors a crush on a boy band idol. Her journey takes an unexpected turn as she enters the human world and becomes an instant social media sensation.The webtoon is co-produced with M Story Hub, the studio behind The Remarried Empress. The webtoon originally debuted in South Korea on Naver SERIES. Since its release, it has accumulated around 830,000 total views, with 818,000 of those coming from Kakao Page. The series has also launched in Japan via LINE Manga and is currently available on 11 platforms in South Korea. On April 26, 2025, Pinkfong released a new animated music video, Under the Spotlight, distributed by YG Plus. The song, featuring Moon Shark characters in an audition setting, is available on global music platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.In addition to the webtoon, Moon Shark has gained traction through music content. The 2D animated music video “Moonlight” released in December 2024 with teaser clips amassing over 1.67 million views on Instagram and 1.59 million on X/Twitter.
