Webtoon-Based Live-Action Series Head Over Heels to Premiere in June

The Korean television network tvN announced on Friday that its new series Head Over Heels will premiere in June. The series is based on the webtoon, Gyeonwoo and Fairy.The youthful first-love story follows 18-year-old high school shaman Seong-ah Park (played by Yi-hyun Jo), who defies fate to save Gyeon-woo Bae (played by Young-woo Choo), a boy destined to die. The show features a variety of K-ghost characters, each with their own backstories.Choo was one of the main cast members of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, a webtoon-based medical live-action series. The staff of Head Over Heels have released two teaser posters ahead of the premiere. One poster shows Seong-ah in a school uniform holding a bell, signaling her role as a modern-day shaman. Another poster features a love talisman pierced by an arrow at the center of a heart-shaped target, hinting at a fateful romance that defies destiny.Currently, an English version of the original webtoon is not available.
