Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza Kiwami Games Get Switch 2 Releases

Sega revealed during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on Thursday that it will release its Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Yakuza Kiwami games — both remakes of the original Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku, or Like a Dragon) and Yakuza 2 action games, respectively — for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 13. A bundle including both games will be available. Both releases will feature new in-game text support for French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian.Sega released Yakuza Kiwami for Nintendo Switch last October. The Switch 2 version features enhanced graphics and improved visuals over the Switch version.Yakuza Kiwami launched in Japan for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in January 2016. The game then shipped in English for PS4 in August 2017, and launched for PC via Steam in February 2019.The original Ryū ga Gotoku game debuted in Japan for PlayStation 2 in December 2005, and launched in the West under the name Yakuza in September 2006.Sega released Yakuza Kiwami 2, a full remake of Yakuza 2, in Japan for PlayStation 4 in December 2017, and in English in August 2018. The remake uses the "Dragon Engine" that Sega created to develop Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, as well as new characters and new playable scenarios. The game launched for PC via Steam in May 2019. The game got releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 in July 2020.Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, the updated Nintendo Switch 2 version of its 2015 Yakuza 0 game, launched for Switch 2 on June 5, the same day the console debuted. The updated version features new cutscenes, an online multiplayer mode, and a new English dub. The game also has French, Italian, German, and Spanish text.
